Air Force CommendationRobert J. McCrann, an owner/operator for Goshen Buick, Inc., in Goshen, N.Y., and longtime resident of the area, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Arden Hill Campus in Goshen, N.Y. He was 71.

The son of Francis McCrann and Tena Zicarelli McCrann, he was born May 7, 1934 in Elyria, Ohio.

Robert was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Goshen. He was an Air Force veteran (1953-62) and received the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Achievement in 1960 at McGuire Air Force Base. He was a member of the Goshen Rotary since 1964, and past President (1972-73). From 1975-77, Bob was the Rotary District 721 Youth-Exchange Chairman; he was on the Goshen Board of Fire Commissioners for 18 years and served as Chairman for ten years. Bob was also a former Little League Coach in Goshen.

He is survived by his wife, Alice C. Nutley McCrann, at home; son, Robert J. McCrann Jr. of Summitville, N.J.; son-in-law, Charles Anderson of Mt. Vernon, N.H.; grandson, Christopher Anderson; brothers: James and Richard McCrann of Ohio; sister, Patricia Graves of Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John and Mary Ellen Nutley, William and Mary Devitt, Lawrence and Anita Jones, Michael and Margaret Mooney; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa J. McCrann Anderson.

Visitation will be held at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen, N.Y. on Friday, April 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen, N.Y. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Goshen, N.Y.
