A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Richard Anthony Green will be held Saturday May 28, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Pastor John Maglott, Officiating and Rev. W.D. Sims, Eulogist .
Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories/ Myrtle Hill Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue Tampa, Florida.
Richard Anthony Green, Richie as he was affectionately called was born the youngest of four children to Joyce Green and Leonard Green, in Kingston Jamaica on April 6, 1968.
He migrated to the US in 1995 and attended Erwin Technical, where he achieved an Associate Degree in Auto Mechanics. He owned and operated his own auto repair in Tampa.
In May 1998 he married Sharon Johnson and they later moved to Texas in December 2006. He was a hard worker for UPS and owned and operated his own auto sales and repair shop until he was called home.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Johnson-Green and parents Joyce Green and Leonard Green.
Richie, was a devoted husband, father and a loyal friend.
He leaves behind his children, MSgt. Brad Johnson and his wife Rachel of Satellite Beach, FL., Thalia King and her husband Christopher of Tampa, FL., Kaydene Green of Tampa, FL., Kimberley Green of Atlanta, GA., Ashley Green of Hartford, CT. and Richard Green Jr of Dallas, TX. ; grandchildren, Sean Johnson, Lillian Johnson, Christopher King Jr, Vanessa Johnson and Camryn King; brother, Byron Green of Tampa, FL.; sisters, Vivienne Green of Tampa, FL., Angella Green of Tampa, FL., Lorraine Green of Tampa, FL., Michelle Green of San Antonio, TX. and Marcia Green of Cleveland, OH; nieces, nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.
