Sidney Murray Smith was born May 28, 1944, to Willie and Vieta Smith in San Antonio, Texas. He received his formal education in San Antonio attending Sojourner Truth Elementary School. Sidney completed his formal education in the public school system attending Wheatley High School.
Sidney was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Vieta Smith and his eleven siblings: Percy; Frank; Willie II; John; Martha; Mary; Charlene; Shirley; David Samuel; Emma and Lucinda.
Sidney leaves behind his wife of over fifty years; two daughters; one son; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson due March 2021, more than one hundred nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and friends.
