The Florida Times-Union, Wednesday, May 29, 1946 Taylor - Rev. Thomas P.(aul) Taylor, 90, of Macclenny, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. P. Combs, in Taylor, after a long illness. He was a native of Georgia, but had lived nearly all his life in Baker County. He was a retired Methodist minister and a member of the Pine Grove Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lokie Taylor, five daughters, Mrs. G. C. Brown, Mrs. J. P. Combs and Mrs. J. I. Harvey, all of Sanderson, Mrs. E. R. Rhoden, Macclenny, Mrs. R. A. Travis, Orange, Texas; three sons, W. B. Taylor, Sanderson, L. M. Taylor, this city, and Dillon Taylor of the U. S. Merchant Marine; two stepdaughters, Mrs. W. J. Mann, Sanderson, and Mrs. Sank Cochran, Jacksonville, three stepsons, Rev. Schiley Rhoden, Starke, Moll Rhoden, Sanderson, and Russell Rhoden, Jacksonville, three sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Cobb, Olustee, Mrs. Missouri Williams, Jacksonville, and Mrs. S. B. Crews, Macclenny, two brothers; J. A. Taylor, Jacksonville, R. E. L. Taylor, Glen St.Mary; 63 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 P. M. at the Pine Grove Methodist Church in Taylor with the Rev. Fred P. Combs and Rev. Schiley Rhoden officiating.
Active pallbearers will be the following grandsons: Ralph Taylor, Alton Combs, Ray Brown, J. P. Taylor, Herbert Taylor and Ressie Taylor. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery under the direction of the Seashole Funeral Parlors.
