Visitation will be from 10 ~11am.
William Andrew Barnett III was born May 17, 1985, in Los Angeles, California to proud and loving parents William and Patricia Barnett. He was warmly welcomed into the family by his brother Dennis, oldest sister Chaka, and youngest sister Shannon.
William was an energetic, inquisitive, and fun-loving child. His family showered him with love and support throughout his childhood. William played basketball, baseball and football in Lynwood, Los Angeles and Downey, California. He was a strong young athlete, but his bubbly personality and sense of humor shined brighter than his greatest performance in sports. William never met a stranger. As soon as he laid eyes on you, instantly, you were fast friends.
William was strong-willed and unapologetically lived his life. He was a creative child, using crayon to sign a detention slip he received in elementary school. He assured the teacher that his mother signed the slip but also informed her that he did not see his mother sign it. This is when his family knew he would need extra love and guidance.
William was resilient and persevered through the challenges he faced. He finished his GED and at the age 18, with the love and support of his family, William went through boot camp in South Carolina and successfully completed training to enter the US Army. While stationed in Korea, William met and married Christina Perry and had a lovely baby girl, Mia Barnett.
After leaving the military, William worked in construction. He settled in Texas and had two beautiful sons, William Barnett with Kayla Brown and Bryson Barnett with Markeria Hebert.
William was well-rounded. He enjoyed playing golf, was a great skier but loved to chill, eat good food and trash talk during a good game of dominos.
William struggled with diabetes and peacefully succumbed to complications related to his condition, May 9, 2022. William leaves his beautiful children as a reflection of the mark he made on this world. He is and will be loved and remembered by his family, friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
