Thomas Matthew Anderson, Age 77 of Plum Borough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Beloved husband of 16 years to Judith (Bearss-Metzger) Anderson. Loving step-father of Anthony (Jodi) Mason, Elizabeth Carter, James (Tricia) Metzger, Pamela (Seth) Fairman, Catherine (Scott) Intlekofer, and William Metzger. Proud grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of two. Also survived by his siblings, James (Donna) Anderson, John (Cathy) Anderson, and Madeline (Butch) Gatlin; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Peg (McGuirk) Anderson; sister, Julia (surviving husband, John) DiCecco; and uncle, Matthew Anderson.

Tom Anderson left his mark and made his distinction in life by integrating his hands, heart, and mind to go about building up the world around him. An avid fisherman who loved the shared solitude of sun rising as the fish were biting, a woodwork craftsman of excellence and distinction, a gardener who tilled and nourished the soil for seeds to thrive into yields of harvest, while equally nourishing the spirit of those around him. Tom Anderson loved his co-workers, neighbors, friends from throughout the years, the breakfast bunch, and most especially his family, and particularly his beloved life partner and best friend, Judith. There is no replacing Tom Anderson. Instead, we will live into the lessons he left us and try to make every day one worthy of the love he left and the integrity of his life given in service to others.

Interment will be in Plum Creek Cemetery.
