Louise Lee passed away on February 16, 2022, at Pacifica Senior Care in Jurupa Valley, CA peacefully. She was 97 years old and lived in Bloomington, CA.
Louise was born on March 23, 1924, in a small rural community of Qulin, Missouri. She worked as a farm laborer starting at 8 years old and had to stop school in the 3rd grade to help contribute to the family. When she turned 18 years old, she left home to seek better job opportunities in Michigan in the steel industry. Louise was a literal Rosie the Riveter during World War 2 making "O-Rings" or washers at that time. She met the love of her life Edward Lee and they married while living in Michigan. They built themselves a small trailer to live in and pulled it to Pomona, CA, where "Ed" started working for General Telephone & Electronics Corporation (GTE) as a lineman in Mira Loma. Louise worked sewing coats in a factory, and while living in the trailer, Ed & Louise had her only child Edward Samuel Lee in 1954.

The happy family purchased a home on Darby Ave in Pomona, CA, and settled into home life. Louise was an Avon sales representative, worked as a machine operator in a rubber factory, and then went to work for as well as a GTE as a phone repair tech in Pomona all while raising their beautiful son. She repaired specialty and payphones and retired after working there for over 10 years. In 1985, Ed & Louise moved to Bloomington, CA on South Iris Ave, where she lived until the last few months of her life. When she retired, Louise started watching her grandsons Edward (Sammy) and William (Billy). Louise attended 1st Baptist Church in Rialto. She loved working in the nursery and doing the church sales. Louise loved to go to the city council meetings, the Woman's Club, and the First Baptist Church of Rialto. She bowled, attended TOPS Weight Loss Group, and got perms & her hair done every week with the girls. She was involved in the PTA and GATE meetings at Ruth Grimes Elementary including room mother at Sammy's and Billy's school. Louise loved baking cookies and giving out large trays to everyone she knew, especially her neighbors. She always had a small garden and loved to make jams to give to family and friends. To Louise, feeding people showed she loved them. She enjoyed going to the Path of Life family shelter in Riverside to feed the families. She was always holding a baby and loved people watching, along with hosting extravagant holiday meals and putting up decorations.

Louise outlived her husband Ed, her parents Mont and Mable Pratt, and her 12 siblings. She is survived by her son Edward, her daughter-in-law Jacqueline, Grandson Sammy & Billy, and their wives Stephanie and Kimberly. She also has survived by many nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at Green Acres Memorial Park and Mortuary at 11715 Cedar Ave. Bloomington, CA, 92316 on Monday, March 28th, 2022. The visitation will begin at 9:30-11:00 am following the Service promptly from 11:00 am -12:00 pm and Committal service at 12:30 pm.
