Jack Asher, 79, of Sparta, died Wednesday at his home. He was a farmer, a member of Craigs Creek Holiness Church in Sparta and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Washburn Asher of Sparta; daughters, Janet Morgan of Sparta, Doris French, Diane Hughes and Bonnie Roberts, all of Warsaw, Joyce Roberie of Owenton and Connie Rouse of Verona; sons, Roger Asher of Erlanger, Ricky Asher of Hyden, Ralph Asher of Sparta, Robert Asher of Harker Heights, Texas, and Rowland Asher of Warsaw; brothers, Pearl Asher of Hyden, Bobby Asher and Jimmy Asher, both of Corinth; sisters, Rosie Collett of Williamsburg, Betty Nantz of Fort Meyers, Fla., Bonnie Haskins of Carrollton, Alice Beers of Warsaw and Daisy James of Elliston; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Ulysses Creek Pentecostal Church, Big Creek. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will be in the Asher Family Cemetery, Big Creek.
Sophia Bolling, of Covington, died Wednesday at her home.
Arrangements are pending at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.
