Jacob T. Roberts III, affectionately known as "Sonny," entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 31, 2007 at his home. He was 76.

He was the son of the late Jacob T. and Helen (Dummary) Roberts, born March 1931 in Catskill, NY. Mr. Roberts married Nancy Ann Felicello and they were married for 51 years. Sonny was a truck driver for 60 years, starting with the family business, Roberts Motor Express. He then went on to Arrow Carrier and, most recently, RMC Trucking. His love of trucking gained him many awards at the truck rodeo's maneuvering 18-wheelers through challenging obstacle courses against other drivers from across the U.S. He also proudly served in the Korean War.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Nancy Felicello Roberts of Marlboro; and his beloved children: daughter, Gina and Gary Graziosi of Marlboro, NY; three sons: Thomas and Sonia Roberts of Montgomery, NY, Timothy and Lisa Roberts of Marlboro, NY, Damon and Margaret Roberts of Middlethope, NY; a brother William and Barbara Roberts of Coxsackie, NY; a sister Katherine Roberts of Coxsackie, NY; Uncle Everette and Aunt Helen Roberts of Coxsackie, NY. Poppy's cherished grandchildren include: Danielle, Nicole, and Tommy Roberts, Jr. of Highland; Alexandria and Victoria Bevier of Montgomery; Ashley, T.J., Joseph and Christopher Roberts of Marlboro; Maria, Christina and Gary Graziosi, Jr. of Marlboro; Allison Roberts of Shelton, CT; Kristy, Amanda and Nikolas Roberts of Marlboro; and Nina and Allegra Roberts of Middlehope. He will be remembered as a wonderful, giving and loving father, grandfather, brother, father-in-law, uncle, great-grandfather, and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Predeceased by son, Mario Roberts; in-laws, Sylvester and Maria Grazia Felicello; sister, Sally Roberts; parents, Jacob T. and Helen Dummary Roberts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Jan. 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Rt 9W, Marlboro, NY. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, in Marlboro.
