Graveside services for Ms. Brenda S. Wiggins, 80, of Decatur, Alabama were held May 24, 2022 at Minor Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Leo Fuqua officiating.

Brenda Frazier Stover Wiggins was born on September 12, 1941 to the late Abel Wilder and Nora Robinson Stover in Morgan County, Alabama. Upon graduating from Morgan County Trading School, she attended Tennessee Agricultural & Industrial State College (presently known as Tennessee State University) in Nashville, Tennessee where she majored in English. She was a writer for The Meter, the campus' student newspaper.

She later returned to Decatur and worked as a printer at the Decatur Daily for many years. She later discovered her passion for sewing, becoming a self-taught seamstress. For many years, Brenda altered, created, and sewed clothing for the local hospitals and factory industry workers in the Morgan County community. In her free time, she was an avid reader and writer. Completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles was her favorite hobby.

She met and married the love of her life the Reverend Allen Wiggins, Jr. July 3, 1962. Together, they became parents to Glenda Deloris Wiggins Young, Phillip Allen Wiggins, and Mark Joel Wiggins.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, son, Phillip, and husband.

Memories will be cherished by: her only daughter, Glenda D. (Roderick) Young and Mark J. (Ginger) Wiggins; two granddaughters, Ashlee P. Wilson, and Melody N. Wilson; two grandsons, Blake A. Wilson and Justis (Lindsey) Cofield; three great-grandsons, Dedrick L. Hunter, Jr., Beckett J. Cofield and Beau J. Cofield; and great-granddaughter, Laihla D. Carter, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
