Mrs. Barbara Jean Aspinwall Morgan, age 74, of Blackshear, passed away early Monday morning (1/2/23) at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville following a short illness.

Born April 15, 1948, in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Mage Mathew and Ela Mae Sloan Aspinwall. She had lived most of her life in Pierce County and had worked as a CNA with Pierce County Home Health. She attended many years at Youmans Chapel Baptist Church but had recently attended Abundant Life Christian Center in Blackshear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Allen King, second husband, John H. Morgan, and her third husband, Joseph Perritt; a son, Anthony Allen King; sister, Shirley Aspinwall Peacock; and brother, Bobby Aspinwall.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbee Smoot (husband Larry, Retired Staff Sgt. US Army) of Killeen, TX; son, Tim King (wife Peggy) of Blackshear; 4 grandsons, Levi Taylor and Trent Taylor (wife Ofelia Mata), both of Killeen, TX, and Jonathan King (wife Kaitlyn) of Waycross and Mathew King of Blackshear; 3 great grandchildren, Peyton Mata, Logan Taylor, and Gabriel King; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Friday morning (1/6/23) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Waters Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening (1/5/23) from 6-8 p.m.
