Alvin "Joe" Taylor Sr., age 73, of Ozark, Arkansas died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He loved God and his family with all he had. Joe started working for Tysons at the age of thirteen, worked for 42 years and retired at the age of 55 to hunt, fish, garden, and play on his tractor. Joe was born July 27, 1948 in Eloy, Arizona to Samuel and Zelma George Taylor. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers; Mack, Jack, Jimmie, Michael, and William Taylor and one sister Stella O'Neill.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Susan Hanshew Taylor, one son Alvin Joe Taylor Jr. and wife Renee of Bella Vista, one daughter Tina Coover and husband Michael of Springdale, nine sisters; Lola Taylor and husband J.C. of Jonesboro, Evelyn Curtis of Springdale, Shirley Scates and husband Thomas of Huntsville, Linda Adams of Rogers, Rosie Sparks of Springdale, Gail Westbrook and husband Rudy of Spring Valley, Dolly Lawson of Rogers, Hope Manwarren of Cave Springs, Tracy Taylor of Springdale, two brothers; Tommy Taylor and wife Jennifer of Bentonville, Ricky Taylor of Cave Springs, three grandchildren; Ashley Davis and husband Tony, Trey Coover and wife Makayla, Macey Coover and six great grandchildren; Addisyn, Luke and Hudson Davis, Carson, Mason and Raelyn Coover.
Visitation will be held from 10am to noon Monday May 23, 2022 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 W Commercial St Ozark.

Funeral Service will follow visitation at 12pm Monday May 23, 2022 at Shaffer Chapel with Pastors Ricky Jackson and Don Elmore officiating, with burial at Liberty Hill Cemetery, 606 County Road 3071 Clarksville, Arkansas under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

Serving as Pallbearers are Alvin Taylor Jr, Mike Coover, Trey Coover, Carson Coover, Rick Taylor, Tommy Taylor, Eddie Sparks, Tim Westbrook, and Billy Westbrook
