Karen Lynne Knox, 61, of New Castle, PA, passed away on May 18, 2022 in her home.

Born October 22, 1960, in Oakland, MD, she was the daughter of Maggie Irene (Keyser) Knox and the late James Erving Knox. She was also preceded in death by her great-nephew, Robby Butler and her great-niece, Savanah Butler.

Karen was a manager at Iron Mountain in Boyer, PA. But Karen lived her life for her daughter and grandchildren, whom she loved more than life itself. She will be missed by so many, as her friends were like family to her. Karen was "Mimi" to not only her own grandchildren, but to the children of friends as well. She never met a stranger and always went above and beyond to make those around her smile and feel loved and thought of. Karen spoiled everyone around her, including her dog Icy. Karen chased her dreams with determination and dedication, inspiring many others to do the same.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter Katie L. Lukomski & Adam, Apple Grove, WV; one brother, James I. Knox, McHenry, MD; two sisters, Donna J. Knox, Ridgeville, PA, and Shirley A. Knox, Oakland; three nephews, Randy Butler, Connecticut, Bob Butler, Pennsylvania, and Chance Knox, West Virginia; one great-nephew, Devin Butler, Connecticut; one great-niece, Mia Butler, Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren, Leah, Tucker, AJ, and Gracie.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, 21550 on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Marshall Bittinger officiating. Cremation will follow services.
