Joan E. Black of Lexington, SC passed away May 17, 2022.

Joan was born August 30, 1947 in Queens, NY, to John and Laura Reich. She moved to Franklin Square Long Island where she graduated high school. She went on to attend St. Johns School of Nursing completing her degree in 1968. While living in Brooklyn, she met and later married David Black on July 5, 1969. In January 1971, they moved to Columbia, SC. She was a nurse at Baptist Hospital, then became charge nurse of the Dialysis Clinic.

She is survived by her husband, David Black; children, Dawn Creasman and Shawn Black; two grandchildren, Brett and Lauren Creasman; brother; John Reich.

The family will be holding a small private memorial service. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.

Should friends desire, the family requests plants instead of flowers.
