Raul Vega Perez, 64, of Dime Box, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Dime Box, Texas. A public visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM in the chapel of Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1500 W. 9th Street, Caldwell, Texas. Funeral services will follow beginning at 6:00 PM. Interment will be at 10:00 AM on Monday May 23, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Dime Box, Texas.
Raul was born on September 22, 1957 to Julian and Maria Oralia Perez (Vega) in San Antonio, Texas. He was the youngest of five children. Raul was a very hard-working man, and if he wasn't at work he was riding around the big town of Dime Box patrolling in his gator. Raul enjoyed being outdoors spending time with family and friends, especially with his son. He liked telling jokes and making people laugh. Raul loved being the clown of the bunch and loved being the center of attention. He worked for Dimond P and recently retired from truck driving at Bassler Energy Services in Caldwell.
Raul is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Adriana Perez; sons Raul Aiden Perez, Raul Perez, Jr., Alexander and Axavier Aguilar; one daughter Nina Ann Rodriguez; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as his sisters, Mary Helen Cantu and her husband Joe of Charlotte, Texas, Zenaida Smith and her husband Lionel of Austin, Texas, Celia DeLeon and her husband Joe of Floresville, Texas and Sylvia Ramirez and her husband Elijio of Adkins, Texas.
