SPLENDORA, TEXAS - Sandra J. Kidd, 68, of Splendora, Texas died at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Hospital. She was born August 8, 1953, along with her triplet sisters at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green to John and Mary (Wilhelm) Phillips. On August 17, 1973, she married Daniel A. Kidd who survives in Splendora, Texas.

Sandi is also survived by her son, Russell (Nicole) Kidd of Marysville, Michigan, and her grandson Andrew Kidd also of Marysville, Michigan. She is also survived by her mother Mary, of Kalida, her siblings, Susan (Robert) McDowell of Columbus Grove, Sharon (James) Sindledecker of Scherr West Virginia, Nancy (Thomas) Rampe of Kalida, Christopher (Lynn) Phillips of Kalida, Marie (Kevin) Schnipke of Kalida, and Dr. Linda (Jeff) Mansfield of South Bend, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her father John Phillips and a sister Mary Phillips, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Dr. Charles and Elizabeth Kidd, and her brother-in-law Charlie.

She is also survived by her 31 nieces and nephews of whom she was very proud, 43 great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nieces and nephews.

Sandi was a 1971 graduate of Kalida High School and attended Saint Francis College, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was employed as a medical office assistant in doctors' offices in Kalida, Wauseon, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Boca Raton, Florida, Edgewood, Kentucky, and Rochester, Michigan. Her career spanned 32 years of employment until she retired in 2006.

Sandi loved making unique jewelry called "No Two Alike", as all of her pieces were one of a kind. She made them mostly as gifts to family and friends. Later, she did the same thing with wreathes.

She was a volunteer at a women's treatment center in Houston where she taught classes to the residents in the skills of making bracelets, necklaces, and earrings to help raise their self-esteem. She also volunteered at Shalom Center, her husband's workplace for Catholic priests and sisters.

She also was a member of the Wild Wacky Wonderful Woman Club of Haines City, Florida.

She particularly enjoyed her daily facetime chats with her grandson Andrew who was the apple of her eye.

She was a faithful Catholic wherever she lived and a member of Saint Martha's Catholic Church in Kingwood, Texas.

Sandi's funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Kalida with Father Mark Hoying and Sandi's nephew Father David Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 2 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the LOVE FUNERAL HOME in Ottawa.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Putnam County Right to Life, another special cause for Sandi, and to Saint Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida.
