Frances Ledger was born in 1841 to parents Francis Ledger and Frances Sarah Sandy. Her family was living in Marylebone, Middlesex at the time.

At age 10, Frances and her family were living in David Street, Marylebone, Middlesex. She's the eldest of 3 children and her father's occupation was Porter.

On the 11th April 1865, Frances marries William Henry Percival. William's occupation was Upholsterer and Frances' father was a Painter. The marriage took place at St Mary's Church in Lambeth, Middlesex.

The couple have 3 children while living in the Lambeth area - William Henry in 1865, Fanny Amelia (aka Fanny Ann) in 1867, and Ada Emily in 1869.

The family had moved to South Norwood by 1871 and were living in Holland Road. Her husband's occupation is Upholsterer.

Along come another five children - Mary Eliza in 1871, Joseph Francis in 1873, Richard Charles in 1876, Benjamin in 1878, and Herbert George in 1883.

The 1891 census shows them living at 28 Livingstone Road, Croydon, Surrey. William's occupation is 'Upholsterer', their daughters are all Dressmakers, Joseph is a Chemical Factory Asssistant, Richard is a Bakers Assistant, Benjamin is a Doctor (sub med), and 8-year-old Herbert is at school.

The 1901 census shows the family still living at 28 Livingstone Road. William's trade is still an Upholsterer, Herbert is a Greengrocer's Assistant and Fanny is a Fancy Goods Assistant.

Frances passed away in 1903, aged 62. She was buried at St Mary's on the 9th September 1903. The abode stated on her burial record is listed as Caterham.

Her husband passed away in 1908. His death was registered in the Godstone district. I've not found a burial record for him.
