Arthur graduated from Menaul High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received a full scholarship to the University of New Mexico. Arthur pursued his education by attending Middletown MMU, Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and received his Associate Degree from Sawyer Business College and was proud to be a licensed auctioneer. He was a veteran in the United States Army and received many awards. He retired from the VA Dayton, Ohio after 36 years.
Arthur was well known and well liked wherever he went. He deeply loved and cared for those people in his life.
Arthur was a member of Bethel AME Church, Middletown, Ohio where he sang in the male chorus. He was an avid outdoorsman and was hopelessly addicted to "coon" hunting.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, sister Onydrea Gragg-Davis; brother-in-law Thomas Davis; nephew Jamie Mills; great nieces and nephew Destiny Mills, Brooke Simmons and Chris Parks....
