Marie was born on September 6, 1925 in Black, AL to the late James Henry McFay and Arrie Marlow McFay.
She was a faithful member of Beallwood Church of God, where she served as church treasurer for over 25 years. Marie loved her Lord and lived her life wholeheartedly for Him. Her desire to serve others could be seen through her cooking, baking, encouraging words and sweet smiles, and, as a result, she became famous throughout the church and community for her chocolate cake. It was easy for others to realize that Marie deeply loved and cared for her family, leaving a legacy for them to follow. She also is the source of a multitude of special memories that will forever be locked inside the hearts of those who were blessed to have her in their lives.
Other than her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband J.D. Hall, son Jimmy Hall, and all of her ten siblings.
Survivors include daughters Lucy Thompson of Phenix City, AL and Marion Robinson (Rainey) of Box Springs, GA; sons Kenneth Hall (Lynn) of Harris County, GA and Dennis Hall of Phenix City, AL; many extended generations.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beallwood Church of God, 1113 43rd St. Columbus, GA 31904.
