George Edward Perry, age 95, of Anderson, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
George was born in Tipton, IN on March 29, 1927, to the late William Frank & Rosa (Silvey) Perry. On February 5, 1949, he married Mary Blanche (Stutsman) Perry and they shared 67 years of marriage together before she passed away on July 23, 2016.

George proudly served his country in the US Navy during WW II. He retired from Delco Remy after 32 years of service and was a member of the UAW #662. Religion has been a big part of George's life. He served his Lord at the 9th Street Wesleyan Church for many years in many positions. In more recent years he has been affiliated with the Lone Oak Wesleyan Church in Anderson.

In his spare time, George enjoyed music and playing the drums. He had a passion for cars, especially his "Black Beauty" his last new car purchase, the Chevrolet Impala. In addition to his interest for cars, George was also a motorcycle enthusiast. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all.

George is survived by two daughters, Mary Louise (Joe) Barkdull of Anderson, IN and Karen Perry of Fortville, IN; grandchildren, Kristina Fetty, Amanda (David) Preston and Jenny Barkdull; great-grandchildren, Monica Sarvis, Devon (Ashley) Skirvin and Shailey McGlothlin; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jan (Steely) Green; nephew, Scott (Heather) Green; and niece, Veda (Stacy) Williamson.

Along with his parents and wife George was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton Chapel. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:30 pm at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Hallett officiating. Burial will follow in the K of P and IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.
