It is with extreme sadness, that we announce the passing of Yvonne (Skeet) Perkins of Florence, Alabama on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Yvonne Perkins was the youngest child of the late Lous and Josie Perkins, born May 3, 1942.
After a lengthy illness, Yvonne passed away peacefully with her son, Renardus, sisters and nieces by her side at home.
She was an all-around individual and was known for her courageous smile and loved crocheting.
Yvonne was a graduate of West End High School in Florence, AL.
She retired from Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.
She was a dedicated member of Bible Way Church and served faithfully until death. She served on the Mother's Board and sang in the church choir.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Earl, Hester, Mary, Velma, John Lous, Annie Mae, William, Dorothy, Leona and Willie B.
She is survived by her son: Renardus (Michelle) of Florence, AL; grandson: Joshua (Courtney) of Rogersville, AL; two great grandchildren: Braden and Jordyn; two sisters: Lycinda Perkins and Juanita Perkins, ; one brother: James Perkins, all of Florence, AL; sister-in-law: Charity Perkins; many nieces, nephews, a host of friends; and special friends: Edna Nixon and Otha Ragland.
