John G. Parker Jr., 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

Survived by his beloved wife, Ruth E. (Teta) Parker, father of Nicholas (Shirleigh) and their daughter, Quinn Parker; stepson, Kyle (Selina) Ryan and their children, Gavin and Lennon; devoted brother to Sue Parker Salisbury and husband Mark; uncle to Christy and Michael and lifelong amazing friends Judy and Paul Bonitatibus.

John was born in Schenectady on September 19, 1952, son of the late John G. Parker Sr. and Mary (Natorella) Parker, He was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Mohonasen High School. He was a driver for over 30 years for the Capital District DDSO at O.D. Heck Developmental Center in Niskayuna. John owned Cardinal John Productions, aka CJ the DJ , hosting Cabin Fever Parties and trivia of oldies of the 60's. John wowed friends and acquaintances with his pinpoint accuracy of "Oldies knowledge".

He enjoyed the outdoors, often camping, boating, and attending sporting events. John was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Giants. He was a member of the Corvette Club of America. John and Ruthie spent the winter months in Fort Myers Beach, FL for the past several years.

The family wishes to acknowledge John's dear friends who have provided exceptional care and friendship through his illness.

Relatives and friends are cordially welcomed to a Celebration of Life on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Scotia-Glenville with family friend and pastor James Bookout officiating services. The family will receive callers Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
