Special thanks to Missing*U*Always ~ Loving*U*Forever for sponsoring my dad's memorial. Your loving kindness means more than you'll ever know!!

Earle Wayne Overton III was born in Birmingham, AL August 29, 1953 at South Highlands Infirmary to Elizabeth Minton Overton and Earle Wayne Overton Jr. He went out with his boots on April 18, 2016 and marched straight into his Father's Kingdom. Earle graduated from Ramsay High School in 1971 in Birmingham, AL and UAB in 1978 with a Master's Degree in Health Science and Hospital Administration. He served his country faithfully and fondly from 1972 -1995. During this time, Earle was stationed in Homestead, FL; San Antonio, TX; Columbus, MS; and Yokota, Japan respectively. He wasn't satisfied only serving one branch of his country's military. He was a Marine from 1972 – 1975 ending as a Private to join the Air Force from 1975 -1995 ending his military career retiring as a Major in the Air Force. He touched many, many people during his service as he raised his loving family. At this time, Earle travelled back to Birmingham, AL and worked at his Alma Mater, UAB. Through their federally funded program "REACT", he educated seniors of the warning signs of heart attacks. Through his later years, he worked for McElroy Truck Lines, and then lastly, J&M Tank Lines. Everywhere he worked he made so many friends. These same friends found him as he lived, at work. His family is grateful of their care in Earle's final days and for their help on his last one. Earle will miss his family that he must leave behind: wife Jan, daughter Meribeth Camp (Tyler), and son Earle W. Overton IV (Katie Fields). Earle sought not to have a funeral, but a celebration of his life. Wherever you are, think of him and say a prayer, and Earle will be pleased. Earle asks that you honor his memory by supporting our US Service Members and doing kind deeds to others in God's name. Earle loved his family. Earle loved his country, but he loved his Lord, and he is there now.
