Joyce Duke Wood, 89, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of General Electric, a former employee of J.L. Turner & Sons, General Telephone and Farmer's National Bank, member of Scottsville Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, pianist and choir member and attended East Willow Church of God. She was a daughter of the late Wesley Dean Duke and Nellie Mae Moncrief Duke.
She is survived by 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Pamela Wood Carver; 2 brothers: Lawrence Wayne Duke and Halfrey Cyril Duke.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Mills and Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and after 7:00 A.M. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude's or American Cancer Society. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
