Robert Michael Craig of Springfield, MO was born April 28, 1952. He passed peacefully at Mercy Hospital Springfield, Missouri May 13, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Hoyt Craig, and Grace Marie (Olson) Craig.

Robert grew up in Jefferson City and graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1970. Bob joined the Army and was stationed in Granite City, Illinois, where he worked as an Explosive Ordinance Specialist.

On August 14, 1971, Robert married Linda Marie Macromic, starting a 50 year and 9-month marriage....

After discharge from the Army, Bob and Linda moved to Springfield, MO where Bob attended and graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a bachelor's in business and marketing, and with a minor in mathematics and economics. Bob was a fraternity brother at Sigma Chi.

Bob worked at Radio Shack part time throughout school and later managed Radio Shakes in Little Rock and Eldorado, Arkansas for 3 years. He worked 12 hours a day and 6 days a week. Bob was then a supervisor at French's Mustard and Foremost Dairy.

Bob met Chuck Riffe while working together at F&H. Bob and Chuck started their own business, RACE Company, Riffe & Craig Equipment, selling stainless steel to food manufacturing and dairies. They had 14 successful years. Due to health, Bob retired in 2008, and Linda joined him in retirement in 2009.

Bob, along with other dads, coached his sons in baseball. Bob enjoyed golf, fishing, and had a passion for hunting in South Dakota and Canada.

Bob was a good man, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Friend.
Bob will be missed!...

In accordance with Bob's wishes, he was cremated under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, located at 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, MO 65806.

A Graveside Service with full military honors will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 3rd, 2022 at The Springfield National Cemetery, located at, 1702 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm- 7:00pm on Friday June 3rd, 2022, at the South Haven Church, located at 2353 S Campbell Ave, Springfield, MO 65807.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at the South Haven Church.

In lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to the charity of your choice.
