Charles E. Peterson January 17, 1951 - May 18, 2022
Charlie was a former Hickory community softball coach and enjoyed playing Dart ball at his church. He loved to go on family vacations, attend car shows, truck and tractor pulls and enjoyed hunting. On June 29, 1974 in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church he married Mary Jeanne Stacko, who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife of 47 years are, a daughter, Marissa Peterson; a son, Seth Peterson both of Burgettstown; two grandchildren, Christopher and Lily Peterson; a brother, Wayne (Doris) Peterson of Carmichaels; a sister, Linda Peterson of Latrobe; many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received from 2-4pm and 6-8pm Friday, May 20, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312, where a Parastas Service will be held at 2pm on Friday. A Panachida Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30am on Saturday, May 21, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10am in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, with Very Reverend R. Joseph Raptosh officiating. A military Walk Thru will be held at 9:15am on Saturday in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Avella.
