She was born to Joseph Byron and Mabel Reynolds Adair.

She married Larry E. Sherwood, Nov. 9, 1945 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They lived in the Round Valley area all of their married lives. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in many positions. She loved music and served as the Springerville Ward Choir Director for the past 20 years. She enjoyed all church, school and community activities.

She retired from the U.S. Postal Service after many years of dedicated and cheerful service in the Luna, Eagar and Springerville post offices. She was well known throughout the valley for her homemade bread, biscuits and gravy and loving service to all.

Surviving her are her loving husband, Larry; and seven children, Dennis, Sierra Vista, D'Wayne and (Marla), Gilbert, Tona and Bob Martin, Eagar, Tina and (Paul) Jarvis, Springfield, Missouri, Charlie Byron and (Liz), Kansas City, Kansas, Kathleen and (Gary) Davis of Eagar, and Richard and (Hoan), West Linn, Oregon; also 30 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Also one sister Kathleen McCarty, Reserve, New Mexico; one brother; James Adair of Mesa; sister-in-law; Brownie Adair, Tone, California; and many extras along the way.
