Bedford – Mildred Colleen Smith, 94, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022. Born March 28, 1928, she was the daughter of John and Florence Mae (Easton) Curren. She married Glenn O. Smith on June 4, 1947, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2014.

Colleen was a homemaker and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the St. Vincent Altar Society. She retired from Bedford Office Supply after 50 years of service. She was a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop. As a member of the Good Sams Camping Club, Colleen enjoyed camping with friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Gary) Hutton, of Bedford; two sons, Tim (Nancy) Smith, of S. Carolina, and Larry (Jenny) Smith, of Bedford; six grandsons, Darren (Kate) Hutton, of Mitchell, Kevin (Elizabeth) Hutton, of Carmel, Kyle (Amy) Smith, of Bedford, Chad (Missy) Smith, of Greenwood, Travis (Kanha) Smith, of S. Carolina, and Tyler (Jamie) Smith, of S. Carolina; one granddaughter, Jeanna (Cory) Smith, of Florida; eight great-grandsons; seven great-granddaughters and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, May 20th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
