She was born in Taft, Texas to Durland and Nell Menefee. She met the love of her life in Austin, Texas in the summer of 1950 and came to Norman on the train to marry Elton on October 7, 1950. They were happily married for almost 71 years. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2021.
She loved sewing, ceramics and spending time in her flower beds and garden. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was, also, an extraordinary cook!
She is survived by her daughters Robin of Norman, Melody and Dave Blumenthal of Edmond and son Elton II of Norman, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Per their request, there will be a graveside service with immediate family only.
