Margie Lee Milligan Grimes passed away on May 14, 2022 in Dallas, TX.
Born on June 6, 1934, in Leo, TX, she was the daughter of Johnnie and Willie
Mae Milligan. She and her husband Joe, shared 67 years together.
Margie was a homemaker for many years, only working briefly at Sears,
Roebuck & Company when she and Joe first married. They were long-time
members of First Baptist Church Hebron where she served as the church clerk and
treasurer, enjoyed singing duets, was in a quartet with her siblings as well as in the
choir. She loved the little children, teaching Sunday school, Girls in Action and
helping in AWANA.
She is survived by daughters, Cathy, Carla (Ben), Cyndy and Michelle (JJ);
grandchildren, James, Kerrie, Ashley, Leslie, Daniel, Katie, Heather, Aaron; greatgrandchildren,
Madison, Zachary, Brintson, Sydneigh, Aspen, Bailey, Xander, Zane,
Robbie, Mackenzie, Hunter, and Kaitlyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents, Johnnie and
Willie Mae Milligan; brothers, Bob and Jerry, and sister Eileen Busby; great
grandchildren Wyatt and Killian.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11 am at First
Baptist Church Hebron, 3000 East Hebron Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75010, with
interment at the Furneaux Cemetery, 3701 Cemetery Hill Road, Carrollton, TX
75007. A visitation will be held at 10 am prior to the service.
Flowers may be sent to Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 South Edmonds
