Martin, Frances B. 85, of Richmond, VA, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2022. She was born on March 28, 1937 in Hanover County, VA. Frances was a member of Staples Mill Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Russell L. Martin; son, Michael D. Martin(Catherine) of Troy, VA; daughter, Sharon L. Martin of Richmond, VA; sisters, Lucy B. Melton(Floyd Lee) of Elmont, VA and Barbara B. Allen(Dean) of Mechanicsville, VA; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Annie Butler and sisters, Espella B. Tunstall and Dorothy B. Hairfield. Frances loved children and kept and helped influence many children's lives. She never turned a child away. Family will receive friends at Bliley's on Staples Mill Rd. on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. A celebration of life will be held at Bliley's on Staples Mill Rd. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:30am. Interment to follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
