Richard was united in marriage to Delores Corrine Tucker on March 16, 1963, at the Fairview Church of the Nazarene and blessed with four children. Richard was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed family vacations each summer. His appreciation for nature meant he often came home with souvenir trees and plants. In later years, he and Delores enjoyed camping and fishing as well as spending time with their grandchildren.
Richard graduated from Fairview High School in 1957 and served in the Army Reserves for six years. He owned and operated Young's Plumbing and Heating for 20 years before transitioning to maintenance at the Fairview Fellowship Home and then the OK Dept. of Corrections which he retired from in 2009. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Dorothy Bryant and Genevieve Unruh; brothers-in-law Glenn Bryant, Wilford Unruh and Jerry Tucker.
