She was born July 02, 1927 in Steelton to the late Mitchell Antoine Maurcourt and Mary Catherine (Kovacic) Maurcourt.
Ginny met her first and only boyfriend, lifetime love, soulmate, and husband: John "Jack" William Herrmann – in the summer of 1942 and graduated from William Penn High School in 1945.
She married Jack Herrmann on November 04, 1948 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Harrisburg.
Ginny worked as a Switchboard Operator for Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania.
Her on-going passion throughout her life was spending every possible minute with her family - especially as it grew over the years with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ginny cherished every birthday, holiday, and spontaneous moment that brought them to her home.
Her passion for cooking and entertaining often included her home-made Italian meatballs - one of her family's favorites. She also loved sewing, reading lengthy biographies, card games, pizza-night-out with friends, and vacationing at Ocean City, Maryland with family.
In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years: John Herrmann.
She is survived by her daughter: Diana Jean (Michael) Kunkle of Dover; her son: John Brian Herrmann of Linglestown; her granddaughters: Jennifer (Eric) Harlacher of Dover, Erica (partner Leland Moore) Kunkle of York, and Stephanie (Michael) Machulsky of West Hanover Township; her grandson: Brett (Andrea) Herrmann of Morristown, New Jersey; and, her six great-grandchildren.
Private Funeral Services and Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
