Renee Ann Smith, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend entered into eternal rest at the age of 54 on May 14, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis she was born on February 06, 1968 to Ronald Hammersley and Janice (Duncan) Moss.

She was a hairdresser at Master Cuts for 18 years.

She enjoyed camping and boating every weekend at Sharwood Campground at Lake Monroe; line dancing with her sister Rea at 8 Seconds Saloon and hanging by the pool with her family and friends.

Renee leaves behind to treasure her memory, her husband, Michael "Mike" D. Smith; son, Gregory Lynn; six grandchildren; father, Ron Hammersley; mother, Janice (Duncan) Moss; two sisters, Ronda Davis and Rea Hammersley.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Round Hill Cemetery.
