Gay Hill, 81, passed the afternoon of May 4th 2022. She was the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Wells and long-time resident of Newtown.

Gay was the beloved wife of Charles Hill, whom she spent nearly 33 years with. She was one for adventure and traveling, especially within her home state of Pennsylvania and Buck County itself. She enjoyed traveling around the state with her mother looking at the many covered bridges, or going up and down the Delaware river. She was particularly interested in, and very knowledgeable when it came to the history of PA often taking her husband Charles on adventures to places he had never been or heard of. While Gay was fond of biking and car rides, she loved to walk and hike. She and Charles could be found walking to and from their home all the way to the middle of Newtown, around a 5-mile distance, on a regular basis.

Gay was an educator. After graduating from Dickson, she earned her MA in English at the University of Pennsylvania and started her teaching career in Moorestown, New Jersy. She then transferred to Bucks County Pennsylvania. She dedicated the next 25 years of her life to educating countless students and young adults, her passion for her students was so great that even after retirement she reentered the field and finished her career at the Bucks County Community College.

Other than her husband, Charles, Gay is survived by her three stepchildren; Jennifer Cruz, Katheryn A. Rase and Christine H. Peek, and four step-grandchildren; Scotty, Charlie, Carmen, and Samantha. Gay is preceded in her passing by her parents and uncle, Jay Hasbrook, whom she was very close with.
