Alan Andrew Lambert, of Salem, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the age of 57.
He was born in Roanoke on April 16, 1965, to Lewis and Jean Lambert.
Alan worked for F and W Management doing maintenance and moving supplies. He was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. He loved helping everyone he knew. He enjoyed mowing grass and painting, having no problem helping anyone that needed it. He was a collector of everything no one wanted. A kind-hearted, loving man. He had many very special friends and a loving family. If you came and visited Alan, you always left with something. Jesus received a beautiful angel on May 16th. He was loved by so many and hated by none.
Alan is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Lambert; his mother-in-law, Vivian Hull; his uncles, Roy Lambert, Aubrey Lambert, Charles Wertz, Calvin Ferguson, and Boots Spradlin; his aunts, Louis Keaton and Margret Lambert, and numerous cousins.
Those left to cherish Alan's memory are his wife, Wanda Lambert; mother, Jean Custer; stepson, Mark Mitchell; brothers, Preston Miller (Cookie), Jimmy Lambert, William Lambert (Rhonda), Kevin Lambert (Shirley), and Scott Lambert; sister, Donna Scarboro; special brother-in-law, Danny Hull (Juliana); sister-in-law, Debbie Semones (John); brother-in-law, Richie Turman; grandchildren, Amyia Harman, Letrell Mans, Iyonna Noel, and India Noel; very special friend, Roger Vass; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 16, 2022, at 427 Doe Run Rd. in Rocky Mount, Virginia from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. All friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Feeding America.
