Thomas David "TD" Wood, 75 of Taylorville, formerly of Centralia, IL passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022.
He was born on October 14, 1946 in Fairfield, IL, the son of Carroll Vallie and Ruth Jean (Tannahill) Wood. He married Vivian Taylor in 1964. They later divorced and she preceded him in death. He married Tanya J. "Jody" Turpin on October 14, 1988 in Paducah, KY. He worked as a salesman and manager for Bunny Bread for almost years and retired as a salesman and manager of 20+ years from Manhattan Coffee Co. In his free time he enjoyed watching old westerns and old movies on TV, listening to the 50's and 60's music, and was most proud of being "Papa Tom" and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
He is survived by his wife, Jody of Taylorville, daughter: Annette Miller (Kevin) of Centraila, IL, sons: Jim Wood (Bobbie) of Centralia, IL and Terry Wood (Cathy) of Nashville, IL, step-son: Shannon Hosick (Kim) of Cisne, IL, 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, sister: Susan K. Wood of Smith, NV, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Carol Jean Hawks and Roger Wood.
Tom will be cremated and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later time in Centralia, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
