Funeral service for Rita Davis, 83, of Chickasha, OK will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Ron Blankinship will officiate.
Rita was born the daughter of Joseph and Ellabe Luttrull on January 9, 1939 in Vera, OK. She died May 12, 2022 in Chickasha.
Rita was raised in the Oklahoma panhandle near Guymon and graduated from Gruver High School in Gruver, TX. She came to Chickasha in 1975 after the death of her children's father, Gordon Olsen. She worked for the law firm of Don Ferguson and Don Horn before going to work at Oklahoma National Bank and finally Midfirst Bank. Though she retired in July, 2005 after 26 years of service, she was still working part time at the Clinic Pharmacy. Rita was a beloved member of Southern Oaks Church Of Christ. She not only served as a Sunday School teacher but she worked in the food pantry and helped with the youth in Leadership Training for Christ. Rita was loved by everyone in her church family and her community.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Ellabe Luttrull; brother Earl "Buck" Luttrull, Grandson William Trey Taylor and her first husband Gordon Olsen.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years Gary Davis; daughter Tanja Wilks of Choctaw, OK; son Jody Olsen of Middleburg, OK; sister Frances Alberty of Dumas, TX; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are with McRay Funeral Home.
