She was born August 30, 1947, in Southington, Connecticut, to the late Henry and Myrtle Kaliss.
Karen affectionately known as K.K. was a master at acquiring hobbies. She enjoyed doll house making, embroidering, and indoor permaculture. She also reaped the benefits of quiet time while reading a book by her favorite author, Stephen King. K.K. also made the best French toast!
Those left to cherish her memories are beloved husband, Gary Taylor, of Elgin; her sons, Anthony and Robert, of Waterbury, Conn.; five grandchildren; Cathy, her dear sister-in-law, a sister, niece, and nephews; two stepchildren; and her best friend, Polly.
As per request by Karen, a private ceremony by the seashore will be held at a later date.
