Mr. Percy S, Favenc recently met with a violent death. He was mustering cattle, in company with Mr. Mecatta, of Wongalee, about twelve miles from Hughenden, on Saturday last, when, in rounding up a mob at a gallop, a calf ran out in front of His horse, which fell and rolled over his luckless rider. Mr. Favenc was picked up senseless,' and Dr. Hunt was immediately summoned from Hughenden. The doctor pronounced the case hopeless from the first, but had the unfortunate sufferer conveyed into the Hughenden Hospital, where he lingered until 1 o'clock on Sunday-never once regaining consciousness.

The cause of death was concussion of the brain. 15 Nov 1886 "The Brisbane Courier"

It is assumed he is buried in Hughenden Cemetery, but he does not appear on their online burial register.
