Keith Lavon Powell passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 94 on February 23, 2016 in Yuma, Arizona. Born January 20, 1922 in Republic, Kanas he served in the 9th Airborne Division WW2 with honorable discharge. Keith was a self employed investment man, and also a former co-owner of the Charles City Press in Charles City, Iowa. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Sun City, Arizona where he served as a deacon. A devoted husband and father, who was a member of various service organizations and an avid golfer who played in the First Inaugural U.S. Senior Open.

Left to cherish his memory include his son, Korvin (Pam) Powell of Denver, Colorado; daughters, Karen (Jerry) Driedger of Yuma, Arizona and Kris (Michael) Lee of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Powell, parents Kiley and Marie Powell and his sister, Mary Ellen Gotfredson.

There will be a Memorial Service at Faith Presbyterian Church, 16000 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, Arizona on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
