Jean Ellen Nelson

Jean Ellen Nelson went home to Jesus on July 9th, 2021 at 91, just shy of her 92nd birthday.

Jean was born to Carrie Yelton and Vaughn Howard on August 7th, 1929 in Phoenix, AZ.

Jean met her husband, Donald Nelson in 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona. They married in 1954 and went on to have 4 children, Brian, June, Steve and Nancy.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Jean also loved the Arizona Sun Devils, Elvis Presley, and any activity involving her grandchildren. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.

Jean was known for her unwavering selflessness and a heart filled with infinite love to give to those she held dear. Even in her final days, she still managed smiles and laughter with her family, a testament to her lifelong strength and positivity in the face of hardship.

Jean joins her 7 brothers and sisters in Heaven. She is survived by her children Brian, June (Jeff), Steve (Susan) and Nancy (Bill) along with her 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
