Barbara Jean (Allen) Green went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2022 at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN surrounded by her family. Barbara was born July 6, 1947 in Middlesboro, KY to the late William Forester Allen and Bessie Marsee Allen. She was a faithful member of the Middlesboro Church of God Mountain Assembly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years Elgie Green; Brother, David Allen; Mother and Father-In-Law, Bo and Laura Green; Sister-In-law, Linda Allen; Brothers-In-law, Don Sparks and Gary Barnwell and Grandchildren Trey and Ashley Biliter.

She is survived by her children: Sons, Elgie (Debbie) Green, Chris (Angela) Green, and Daughter, Lawana (Curt) Biliter.

Grandchildren: Blaine (Mackenzie) Green, Blair Green, Lauren Biliter (Andrew) Brown, Jordan Biliter, Megan Biliter, Macy Green and Faith Green.

Siblings: Brothers, Arnold Allen, Bill (Rickie) Allen, Larry (Jeanie) Allen; Sisters, Sue Sparks and Margie Barnwell (Jack) Henlsey; Sisters-In-law, Vickey Allen and Mary (Leroy) Hale; and Brother-In-law, Bob (Carol) Green.

In addition she leaves behind many, many beloved nieces and nephews as well as her special friend, David Karr.

Barbara was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved attending church and felt blessed to help others. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren watching them grow and play ball.

Pallbearers will be: Blaine Green, Jordan Biliter, Curt Biliter, Andrew Brown, Bo Bob Green, Donnie Sparks, Chris Sparks and Thomas Barnwell.

The family will receive friends for Barbara Green Tuesday May 17, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will immediately follow the receiving of friends at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Mike Padgett and Lonnie Lyke presiding. A graveside service will be held Wednesday May 18, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. noon at Green Hills Cemetery. Family and friends are to meet at Cawood Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday May 18, 2022 where they will go in procession to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Cawood Funeral Home in order to help with funeral expenses.
