Betty J. (Ellis) Myers was born in Paris, Texas November 2, 1936 to the late Beulah and Tillman Ellis. She was the First of eight children, five of whom have preceded her in death. Betty moved from Paris Texas to Arizona early 1950's. She married Emanuel Myers October 11, 1953. Here they raised nine children, five girls and four boys. For many years Betty was a member of Grace Memorial Church of God in Christ. She was a Missionary, where she spoke at various churches around the Phoenix area. She was a Sunday school teacher as well as Central District Sunday School Superintendent. She was part of a singing group call The Grace Singers. She was a creative fund raiser. She knew the value of a penny; you collect enough of them and with patience you could see the savings account balance grow. She purchased piggy banks for the children of Grace Memorial to help in her penny drives. She continued her fund raising penny drive when she moved on to Touch of Love Ministry under Pastor Marilyn Hill. There she was the Beloved Church Mother. She was always willing and ready to help with any activity she could.
Getting her to sit down and relax was the challenge.

Betty worked in the semi-conductor industry for many years, first with GSI (1976-1992) and then with Protek Devices (1993-2008). She retired from Protek Devices in 2008. Even after retirement her desire was to work. She always felt she needed a job.

Betty passed from this life at 2:40 am into the hands of the Lord while in hospice care, Sunday, May 1, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memory, Nina Myers, Randy Myers (Barbara), Carol Muller (Kent), Annette Myers, Michael Myers, Wayne Myers, Ricky Myers, Terrie Myers, Vicki Harrod (Chris) Georgia Nasal; her grandchildren Chris Myers (Sarah), Marcus Myers, Ryan Myers, Shad Riley; her great-grandchildren Malakai Myers and Leiarah Otto; her sisters Joyce Wilson of Phoenix, AZ, Ola Ellis of Phoenix AZ, a host of nieces, nephews and "because we say so" children.

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' Matthew 25:21 (NiV)
