Janice (Jan) Kathleen Settlemoir

November 1, 1946 - December 5, 2011

SALEM -Jan was born to Don and Edith Curson on November 1, 1946 in Modesto, California. Her childhood was spent in Ontario and Manteca, California. She married her handsome Navyman, Derek Settlemoir on January 16, 1965.

Throughout her life she was an exceptional lady, striving for excellence in all she did. Accomplished Artist, Painter, Scrapbooker, Card Clubber, Party Planner, Follower of Christ, Loving Wife, Devoted Mom and Doting GaGa (Grandmother), she volunteered her time, money and skills to bring happiness to those around her. In every endeavor, she had a unique way of making each individual feel valued and special.

Her positive outlook on life and her never ending joy were inspiring. Her smile lit up the room. Those who knew her will always remember her contagious laughter.

Jan and Derek were looking forward to their 47th wedding anniversary on January 16th. Jan had just celebrated her 65th birthday before she danced into Heaven on December 5, 2011 and into the arms of her loving Savior.

She is survived by her husband, Derek Settlemoir, children, Cynthia Villwock and husband, Clarence, Rebekah Schweitzer and husband Paul: and her 4 adored grandkids, Joshua and Rachel Villwock, and Elysia and Elias Schweitzer, her dear mother, Edith Kathleen Curson and Judy Madden, her cousin (sister in spirit).

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Donald Curson, and Kenneth Curson, , and by her father, Don Curson.
