Caroline married George Womelsdorf in the 1870's. He was a Civil War Veteran and recent widower with several children. Caroline began collecting a Civil War widow's pension in 1893.
Caroline Womelsdorf died in Rye Township on September 3, 1909. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetey, next to husband, George C. Womelsdorf.
