Mitch graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1973 and lettered in baseball and football. One of his greatest moments was when his high school baseball team won the sectional championship in 1971.
Mitch was a fork truck operator for two years with Dollar General Distribution Center. He followed IU basketball and Indianapolis Colts.
Survivors include his daughter, Staci (Jeffrey) Beauchamp of Dodgeville, MI; sisters, Tina (Mike) Havens of Fairmount and Terri (Kevin) Nash; brothers, Michael (Lisa) Wright of Marion and Bill Wright of Marion; many nieces and nephews; granddaughter, Tia (Alex) Reilly of MI; and great-grandsons, Allen Reilly, Kaiser Reilly, and Jameson Reilly.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date and will be announced in June.
