MANSFIELD, Texas — Robert "Bob" David Chapman, 83, former longtime resident of Laconia, New Hampshire, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Bob was born and raised in Laconia, the son of Gordon and Pearl Chapman.
He graduated from Laconia High School and the University of New Hampshire. He served in the Army as part of the 101st Airborne Division and retired from General Dynamics/Lockheed.
Bob loved people, bargains, lobster and family gatherings and enjoyed many visits to Florida and New Hampshire with family and friends. Bob's happy demeanor and generous spirit will be missed.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, New Hampshire, using the Carriage House entrance. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 22, at 10:30 a.m. in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia.
