Treva Mae Wieland, 97, of Eaton, Ohio, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton. Born April 28, 1909, in Gettysburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harve and Edith (McFaddin) Boomershine. In her early years, she worked at the Rust Rest Home, and later worked up to her retirement as a waitress and cook for both Mrs. Wagner's Colonial Kitchen and Loerke's Restaurant, all in Eaton. Mrs. Wieland was a 63-year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Eaton, a 57-year member of Rachel Rebekah Lodge #144, a 74-year member of the Women's Relief Corps and a 53-year charter member of VFW Auxiliary Post #8066. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman A. "Dutch" Wieland, on Nov. 21, 1990; brothers, Earl E., Harry and Walter Boomershine; sisters, Lora Brock and Inez Brown.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James N. and June Wieland of Apopka, Fla., and Howard E. and Patty Wieland of Eaton; a daughter, Susanne J. Wieland of Eaton; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the funeral home.
