She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Walterboro Branch and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clinton Lee Hughes, Sr. Surviving are her children, Rhonda Leah Hughes, and Clinton Lee Hughes, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer - both of Walterboro; grandchildren, Steven Lee Robertson and his wife, Jean of White Bluff, TN, Jordan Andrew Robertson of Walterboro, Matthew Aaron Robertson and his wife, Bailey of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Jessica Renee Beach Hughes of Walterboro; sisters, June Lynn Branham and her husband, Mark of Lexington, and Dee Chaltraw Kinard of Walterboro.

Her mother married Jacob Benjamin Hoff in February 1947, and it was annulled in April 1950. The obituary of her brother, Jacob Benjamin Hoff Martin, mentions his sister, Jacquelyn Martin. It appears after her parents' marriage was annulled in April 1950, she legally changed their surname to Martin. June didn't marry William Chaltraw until 1951. He was not her biological father.
